Job summary

LCB Senior Living, LLC seeks an Activity Assistant at The Residence at Great Woods in Norton, MA. This role supports planning, organizing, and implementing daily activities for residents, helping maintain an engaging program and coordinating transportation.

You will work with a warm team, assist with newsletters and calendars, and help expand volunteer activities while ensuring safety and accessibility. A valid driver’s license and ability to lift 15 lbs are required; HS diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• Develop and implement activities for residents.
• Encourage participation in activities daily.
• Communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing.
• Must be able to lift and conduct physical tasks as needed.
• Valid driver’s license with limited violations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, and implementing residence activities.
• Arrange transportation and escorts for residents to and from activities.
• Assist with volunteering programs and store operations.
• Maintain monthly newsletter and calendar for activities.
• Attend in-service training sessions and orientation; drive residents as needed.

Gerontology experience preferred.Certificates/Licenses: A valid drivers license in the state of work is required with no more than two moving violations in a three year period as determined by our insurance broker.Physical Demands:Finger and hand dexterity to handle and manipulate instruments and equipment.Visual and auditory acuity.Must be able to lift a minimum of fifteen (15) lbs., and be able to carry objects.Must be able to push and pull carts, and continuously walk, sit and stand.Must be able to turn, crouch, kneel, stoop, bend below waist, and reach above shoulder height as tasks dictate.
