Patriots Landing is hiring a part-time activities assistant to support memory care residents with daily activities.

If you are active, fun, and a self-starter, then this is the job for you! Come and join the Careage team and lead exercise classes for our residents.

• Weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) and every other Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.
• $17-$18.50/hour; previous experience is a plus.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Food Handlers and Mast Certificates preferred.

Summary of Responsibilities

• Uphold the mission, philosophies, and values of the facility.
• Organize and help plan the monthly activity calendar, ensuring variety and appropriateness for memory care residents.
• Facilitate daily group and one-on-one activities.
• Assist in maintaining entertainment and supplies budgets.
• Drive community bus; no CDL required.
• Communicate with residents about preferences, comments, and concerns.
• Coordinate decorations for themes, holidays, and events.
• Implement special events, including birthday parties and social celebrations.
• Create artistic activities suitable for all skill and cognitive levels.
• Promote resident participation enthusiastically.
• Work collaboratively with care staff to involve them in activities.
• Assist with mealtimes as permitted.
• Respond to emergencies and maintain equipment and supplies.
• Assist in weekly shopping for supplies.
• Be aware of residents' dietary and medical restrictions.
• Report incidents and behavioral changes appropriately.
• Maintain professionalism and attend required meetings and training.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED; college degree preferred.
• At least one year of experience in marketing, customer service, caregiving, or activities planning in a senior living environment.

Knowledge and Skills

• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Strong communication and computer skills.
• Reliable, cheerful, and outgoing personality.
• Experience working with seniors, especially those with memory issues, is preferred.
