Job Summary:

The Salus Lifestyle Coordinator (Activities Assistant) assists the Salus Lifestyle Coach by providing a diverse program of individual and group activities. These activities aim to engage residents in cultural, spiritual, physical, political, social, and intellectual pursuits within the community, promoting their potential and sense of usefulness.

Education and Experience:

• Experience in activity planning, preferably with seniors
• Interest and experience in working with seniors
• Creative activity skills
• Organizational skills
• Mature, friendly, cheerful personality
• Driver's license with a clean record and completion of all HR policies for community driving

Essential Functions:

• Provide excellent service to residents, families, and visitors
• Facilitate socialization among residents
• Encourage residents to participate in activities
• Coordinate with other program staff for joint activities
• Lead most programs and activities
• Adjust work schedule for special events and evening/weekend programs
• Train and support volunteers assisting with activities
• Plan decorations for events and holidays
• Coordinate family events and outings
• Identify supplies needed for activities
• Assist with transportation for outings and scheduled trips
• Drive community vehicle when certified and authorized
• Perform additional duties as assigned to ensure program success

Compliance and Safety:

• Follow emergency procedures
• Adhere to safety policies

Communication:

• Communicate effectively with staff and residents
• Report changes in residents’ health to the appropriate staff
• Represent the community positively and promote community values
• May have images or videos used for social media or advertising
