Job summary

Rancho Bellagio Post Acute is hiring a Full-Time Activities Assistant. Location: Rancho Bellagio Post Acute. Compensation: $17.50–$18.00 per hour.

You will plan and facilitate engaging activities for residents, supporting individual routines and preferences. You will collaborate with the Activity Director and care team, adapt programs for cognitive and physical abilities, help post calendars, and maintain a safe, clean activity space.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility is preferred.
• Experience as an Activities Aide or Activities Director is a plus.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate individual and group activities that meet residents' needs and preferences.
• Support residents’ routines and choices while addressing their needs and concerns.
• Communicate effectively with the Activity Director, supervisor, and care team.
• Provide one-on-one and in-room activities for bed-bound or absent from groups.
• Adapt programming to cognitive and physical abilities.
• Develop, post, and distribute activity calendars.
• Monitor environment for safety concerns and report issues promptly.
• Report housekeeping and maintenance concerns to maintain a safe space.
• Maintain activity areas, equipment, and supplies in a clean, homelike manner.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate individual and group activities that meet the functional levels, interests, and cultural or religious preferences of each resident
• Support residents’ individual routines, preferences, and choices while addressing their needs and concerns
• Communicate effectively with the Activity Director, supervisor, and interdisciplinary team as appropriate
• Provide one‑on‑one and in‑room activities for residents who are bed‑bound or unable to attend group programs
• Assist residents with activities as needed, adapting programming to cognitive and physical abilities using appropriate support techniques
• Assist in the development, posting, and distribution of activity calendars
• Monitor the environment for safety concerns, including fire hazards, and report issues promptly
• Report housekeeping and maintenance concerns to ensure a safe and comfortable environment
• Maintain activity areas, equipment, and supplies in a clean, organized, and homelike manner
• Perform additional duties as assigned
