St. Patrick's Manor in Framingham, MA, is seeking an Activities Assistant - Life Enrichment for the Specialty Dementia Unit. This role supports planning and delivering engaging activities, interviews residents and families, and assists in assessments, fostering a caring home environment.

The position is part-time or per diem, with compensation ranging from $17 to $19.74 per hour based on experience. Benefits and ongoing certification support are offered.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service orientation in a care setting.
• Knowledge of arts and crafts, preferably in a geriatric setting.
• Willingness to obtain dementia-specific certification within 6 months.

Responsabilités

• Assist in planning, organizing and implementing the activities programs of the facility.
• Interview residents or family members to obtain activity information.
• Assist the Activity Director with preliminary and comprehensive assessments of the activity needs of each resident.
• Review and report on resident assessments.
• Develop and maintain a good rapport with all the services involved with the care plan.
• Encourage social communication among residents through group activities and recreation.
• Encourage residents to participate in hobbies and crafts; provide materials as necessary.
• Assists in the transportation of residents to activities.

We are seeking to fill the position ofActivities Assistant - Life Enrichment for the Specialty Dementia Unit.

• Part-Time and Per Diem available.
• $17 to $19.74 per hour based on experience.

Activities Assistant - Life Enrichment Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have MA Dementia Training Certification.
• Knowledge of arts and crafts, preferably in a geriatric setting.
• Activities Assistant Certification or willingness to be certified (at St. Patrick's Manor expense) within 6 months.
• Computer literate with training on entering resident care plan codes (MDS), preferred.
• Must be able to speak, write and understand English.

Activities Assistant - Life Enrichment Working Conditions:

• Bending, standing, sitting, lifting, walking and moving intermittently during working hours.
• Must assist in the evacuation of residents as necessary.
• May need to lift serving trays of up to 30 pounds.

Activities Assistant - Life Enrichment Job Summary:
