Job summary

Roseville Care Center is seeking a compassionate and energetic part-time Activities Assistant to support the Activity Director in creating meaningful programs for residents in Roseville, CA. Qualifications

Activities Assistant – Part-TimeRoseville Care CenterRoseville, CAStarting at $19.00/hour – DOEMake a Difference Every Day!Roseville Care Center is looking for a compassionate, creative, and energetic Activities Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis.The Activities Assistant works closely with the Activity Director to provide meaningful, engaging, and interactive activities that support the physical, mental, emotional, and psychosocial well-being of our residents.If you enjoy connecting with seniors, planning fun activities, encouraging participation, and creating moments that bring joy to others, we would love to hear from you!What You'll DoAssist with planning and conducting individual, small-group, and large-group activities.Help create a welcoming and engaging activities program based on residents' interests and needs.Assist with developing and maintaining the monthly activity calendar.Maintain activity attendance records and required documentation.Encourage residents to participate in hobbies, crafts, reading, games, music, outings, and other meaningful activities.Provide appropriate materials for residents, including reading materials, audio books, and other resources.Assist with activities and programming for residents who are bed-bound, isolated, or unable to participate in group activities.Assist with resident assessments, activity care plans, and quarterly progress notes as assigned.Assist with discharge planning related to activities and resident needs.Help arrange transportation for resident outings, appointments, and discharges when necessary.Communicate effectively with residents, families, coworkers, managers, support personnel, and members of the community.Participate in community planning and activities that support resident and facility needs.Assist the Activity Director with Quality Assurance activities and follow-up plans as requested.Help maintain the Activities Department in a clean, organized, safe, and secure condition.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.What We're Looking ForRequired:High school diploma or equivalent.Ability to read and understand policies, procedures, schedules, and written instructions.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively with residents, families, coworkers, and management.Ability to solve practical problems and follow written, verbal, and schedule-based instructions.Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including percentages, ratios, fractions, and proportions.Preferred:At least one year of experience working in a long-term care or skilled nursing environment.Experience working with seniors or individuals with varying physical, cognitive, or psychosocial needs.Experience leading or assisting with recreational, social, creative, or group activities.Physical RequirementsThis position requires frequent standing and walking, reaching, pushing and pulling, talking and hearing.
