Job summary

Candlewood Healthcare & Rehabilitation in East Cleveland, OH, is seeking an Activities Assistant to enhance residents' quality of life through recreation, crafts, conversation, and movement. You will help implement planned activities and support residents in enjoying a range of expressive experiences.

We offer a part-time schedule with a rotating weekend pattern and opportunities for full-time or weekend-only positions.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in an activity related or customer service focused position.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience leading a group of people.
• A Degree or education in Recreation, Recreational Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Teaching, or Arts is a plus!

Responsibilities

• Complete daily activities as listed on our community calendar.
• Interact with residents to encourage engagement in ongoing activities in the community.
• Assist the Activities Director in preparing and leading activities in the community.
• Assist with documentation of participation in offered activities.

Summary

We are seeking someone who is looking for an opportunity to impact the lives of those living at Candlewood Healthcare & Rehabilitation through recreation, arts and crafts, conversation, and interaction. In this role, you will provide opportunities to our residents focused on current and past hobbies, opportunities to explore new experiences and enjoy focused activities on expression and movement through creativity!

This position has a starting pay rate of $13.25 an hour

The typical schedule for this opportunity is Part Time including Three (3) 8-hour shifts a week. The standard schedule for this position includes an every other weekend rotation as well as the potential to have to work some later shifts depending on scheduled activities and events within the community. Specific schedules available will be discussed during interview.

The schedule is for Week 1: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Week 2: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
