Job summary

Colonial Courtyard at Bedford in Bedford, PA is seeking a compassionate Part-Time Activities Aide to keep residents engaged, active, and inspired. You will help plan crafts, music, games, and one-on-one sessions, fostering joy and social connection among seniors.

Ideal candidates bring a High school diploma or GED, a cheerful attitude, reliability, and the ability to stay active. Prior recreational therapy or gerontology experience is a plus, and a valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire residents by planning and facilitating group activities (crafts, music, games) and one-on-one sessions.
• Arrange outings and escort residents to local events to promote social engagement.
• Contribute to Resident Life Stories and the quarterly newsletter to celebrate the community’s history.
• Maintain the Reality Orientation Board and help manage the resident-run store.
• Give tours to prospective families and share what makes the community special.

What You’ll Do

As a key member of our Life Stages team, you will assist the Director in bringing our community to life:
