Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services is seeking an experienced Activity Assistant in Chapel Hill, NC. You will plan and lead activities tailored to residents’ interests, encourage social interaction, support religious and leisure programs, and assist with communications and volunteer activities.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, LTC/Memory Care experience, and may hold an Activities Professional certification. CDL or license is preferred.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in Activities Assistant or LTC/Memory Care/Assisted Living preferred.
• Certification as an Activities Professional preferred according to regulatory agencies.
• Ability to work well with different patients’ personalities and with staff.
• Team player, positive, energetic and professional.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Valid NC Driver’s License; CDL license preferred or obtainable.

• Assists in the maintenance, storage, and use of activities supplies.
• Assists with the set-up of the volunteer program and appreciation events.
• Assists in transporting residents to and from Activity programs.
• Assists with admissions assessments, Clinical responsibilities, MDS, care plans and progress notes according to documentation policies and procedures.
• Facilitates community interaction programs.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous Activities Assistant, and/or Long Term Care/Memory Care/Assisted Living experience preferred.
• Prefer Certification as an Activities Professional in accordance with regulatory agencies governing the center.
• Ability to function well with different patients’ personalities and work well with other staff.
• Team player, positive, energetic, and professional.
• Self-motivated and work well independently.
• Ability to read, write, and understand the English language.
• Ability to work well under pressure and use supplies economically.
• Valid NC Driver’s License.
• Prefer CDL license, or ability to obtain CDL.
