Activities Assistant (Memory Care experience required, weekends only)

Frontier Management is seeking an outstanding Lifestyle Assistant to develop and promote a strong activity program for Escalante at Coventry community located in Salt Lake City, UT.

Responsibilities include planning, implementing, and supervising daily social, educational, recreational, spiritual, therapeutic, and entertainment activities for residents, under the direction of the Lifestyle Director. The role involves assisting with group activities, entertainment, transportation services, and supporting residents’ engagement and well-being. Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, is essential.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Assist with planning, implementing, and supervising activities tailored to residents' interests and skills, including parties, games, exercises, church services, book clubs, crafts, baking, outside entertainment, travel, holiday activities, fundraisers, and special occasions.
  2. Encourage and promote resident participation in activities and social services through effective communication.
  3. Coordinate in-community seminars or lecture series for residents, families, and friends quarterly.
  4. Support Residents Council and Resident Meetings, playing a key role in their monthly sessions.
  5. Engage with local activity planners and exchange ideas with other Lifestyle Directors in affiliated communities.
  6. Assist with developing programs, activities, seminars, and lectures, and manage the monthly activity calendar and newsletter.
  7. Provide front desk support and cover for staff as needed.
  8. Represent the community through tours and marketing efforts.
  9. Perform additional tasks as required.
Other Requirements:
  • Possess a valid state driver's license, a good driving record, and reliable transportation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Compassionate attitude towards elderly residents.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
