Job summary

Morningside Elite Management is seeking an Activities Assistant - Life Enrichment to join our Towamencin facility in Lansdale, PA. The role supports the Life Enrichment Director by designing, coordinating, and facilitating a variety of resident activities for seniors, including memory care residents, in a supportive environment.

The ideal candidate assists with planning and evaluating programs, encourages participation, and maintains activity supplies while following facility policies and safety

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school, or six months to one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists in planning, coordinating, and evaluating resident activities.
• Encourages resident participation in programs and activities.
• Escorts residents on activities away from the property as assigned.
• Assists with the registration of residents for trips and programs.
• Conducts activities under the direction of the Life Enrichment Director.
• Maintains activity supplies and may include outside purchasing.
• Surveying and interviewing residents to determine interests and satisfaction.
• Maintains observation of residents and shares information with staff.
• Follows departmental budget guidelines.
• Attends required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
• Maintains safe working environment and professional demeanor toward residents and staff.
• Adheres to policies of Morningside Elite Management.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Activities Assistant - Life Enrichment Summary:

Assists the Life Enrichment Director in designing, creating, initiating, facilitating and coordinating a wide variety of multi-level recreational and educational activities for the residents of the facility. Reports to the Life Enrichment Director.

Activities Assistant - Life Enrichment Responsibilities:

• Assists in planning, coordinating, and evaluating resident activities.
• Encourages resident participation in programs and activities.
• Activities Assistant escorts residents on activities away from the property as assigned.
• Assists with the registration of residents for trips and programs.
• Conducts various activities at the direction of the Life Enrichment Director.
• Maintains necessary activity supplies, which may include outside purchasing.
• Assists in the surveying and interviewing of residents to determine interests, talents and resident satisfaction.
• Maintains general observation of residents and shares appropriate information with staff.
• Follows departmental budget guidelines.
• Activities Assistant attends all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
• Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.
• Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.
• Adheres to all policies and procedures of Morningside Elite Management.
• Activities Assistant performs other duties as assigned.

Activities Assistant - Life Enrichment Requirements:
