Job summary

Miami Jewish Health in Miramar, FL is seeking an Activities Assistant to provide group and one-to-one therapeutic recreation to program participants. This role fosters social, emotional, cognitive, and physical engagement.

The essential duties include guiding activities, assisting with planning, maintaining clear documentation, and supporting residents with compassionate care. A high school diploma is required; associate degree preferred; experience with aging populations is desirable.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Guides, directs, and monitors participants during group activities to assist in maintaining or surpassing social, emotional, cognitive and physical levels of functioning.
• Assists Director with activity planning as needed.
• Maintains documentation in a neat and legible manner.
• Deals appropriately with the special needs of participants and their families.
• Reports any abnormal signs and/or symptoms to Nursing Manager/Supervisor and the Department Director immediately.

Job Summary

Job Requirements

Education:
