Job summary

The Pavilion at Edgefield in Canton, OH is seeking a Part-Time Activities Assistant to plan, organize, implement and evaluate recreational, social, intellectual and spiritual programs for residents.

You will assist the Activities Director, create monthly activity calendars, coordinate transportation for field trips, document attendance, and support residents in one-on-one activities while promoting well-being and resident/family involvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to successfully pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating a monthly calendar of activities.
• Post calendars in residents' rooms.
• Interview residents or families to obtain preferences.
• Coordinate transportation to activity locations.
• Conduct activities to promote physical, social and mental well-being.
• Document attendance and chart progress notes.
• Observe mood and inform supervisor of changes.
• Involve residents and families in planning when possible.
• Assist with in-room activities for one-on-one visits.
• Coordinate offsite field trips and transportation as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure daily activities run smoothly.
• Assist with Resident/Family Council meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.
