otterbein in Toledo, OH is seeking an Activities Assistant to coordinate, supervise and implement activities in the Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing units. This is a part-time role with some evenings and weekends and may include additional hours as needed.

The role requires a High School Diploma, 1–2 years of activities assistance preferred, and a compassionate, energetic personality. Driving residents to outings may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• One to two years' activities assisting is preferred.
• Must possess a caring, compassionate, energetic personality and a desire to provide entertaining and stimulating activities to enhance the quality of life and holistic growth of residents.
• Must be detail oriented and have excellent literacy and writing, documentation, communications and interpersonal abilities.
• Must be willing to drive bus for resident outings.

Responsibilities

• Implementing a broad activity program to meet resident needs.
• Planning, directing and carrying out a program which covers recreation and educational development.
• Transporting residents to and from outings.
