Job summary

Westgate Hills Rehab in Havertown, PA is seeking an Activities Assistant to plan, implement, and evaluate recreation programs for residents. You will support the recreation department and work to enhance residents' social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment, and physical capacity to assist with residents and equipment. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating recreation programs.
• Participate in community planning, discharge planning, and development of recreation care plans and resident assessments.
• Interview residents and family members to obtain recreation information and involve them in planning programs.
• Coordinate activities with other departments and monitor economic conditions to adjust programs.
• Assist in developing and implementing a quality assurance program for the recreation department.
• Ensure charted recreation progress notes accurately reflect services and resident responses.
• Arrange transportation for field trips and assist with in-room residents as needed.
