Lakeside Post Acute is Hiring an Activities Assistant!

Are you a passionate Activities Assistant looking for an exciting opportunity? Look no further! At Lakeside Post Acute, we are dedicated to helping our patients live strong, healthy lives, and we need YOU to make it happen!

Schedule: Full Time, requires working 1 weekend day per week

What to expect: Create and lead activities for patients, engage patients in meaningful programs, work as a team with the Activities Department. Must be comfortable driving the facility van.

Driver requirements:

  • Must have training and be able to demonstrate safe clinical transfer techniques for:
    • Ingress and egress of mobile patients with van
    • Transfer of patients into and out of wheelchair
    • Properly securing wheelchair-bound residents into vans

Must be able to lift, transfer, and mobilize patient weights of up to 70 pounds in confined areas inside the van.

Must be able to make complex decisions involving a highly dependent patient base.

Successful candidates:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
  • Activities experience is a plus!

Driving requirements:

  • Minimum age: 25 years old
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Familiar with GPS and local driving area
  • No traffic crimes in the last 7 years (DUI, DWS, reckless driving)
  • No traffic felonies (multiple DUI or DWS, leaving scene with injuries, assault with vehicle)
  • Not more than 2 moving violations in 3 years
  • Not more than one accident in 3 years
  • Pass a drug screen and background check

Rate Range: $19-$22/hour
