Job summary

The Lutheran Home Association in Belle Plaine, MN seeks an Activities Assistant for part-time work across our rehabilitation, long-term care, and memory care neighborhoods. Shifts are 10 am–4 pm every other weekend.

You will create therapeutic activities, lead group sessions, and assist residents with daily living tasks under supervision in a caring geriatric setting. PTO and 401(k) matching are offered in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• High school education required.
• Basic everyday living skills and ability to perform simple math and literacy tasks.
• Ability to understand and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Create and provide activities of therapeutic value.
• Target group activities providing educational, mental, physical and sensory stimulation.
• Complete daily paperwork as directed.

Job descriptionOur nursing home community is searching for an Activities Assistant to join our dedicated team.We’re looking for a caring and compassionate person who would love to make a difference in peoples' lives. We’re looking for an individual who truly cares about making our community the best home possible for our residents.Available Position:- 1 part-time position in our rehabilitation and long term care neighborhoods and/or our memory care neighborhood. Every other weekend - shifts are 10 am to 4 pm.This is a great opportunity for a high school student or someone looking to spend time and be involved with the well-being of our geriatric population!
