Job summary

Pine Trail Nursing and Rehab Center in Greenacres, Florida, is seeking an Activities Assistant for part-time hours (8am–4:30pm) Monday and Tuesday with rotating weekends. The role focuses on planning and implementing engaging activities to enhance residents' quality of life.

The candidate should have excellent communication, teamwork, and the ability to work independently. A CNA license is preferred, with a background check including fingerprinting required.

Responsibilities

• Follow the activities calendar to offer a variety of events and activities for residents.

• Follow the resident's plan of care regarding activities and ensure engagement and wellbeing.
• Complete room visits and 1:1 visits to promote socialization and interaction.
• Update the activity log daily to track participation and progress.
• Collaborate with the Activities Director to update activities based on preferences and feedback.

Activities Assistant Responsibilities:

• Follow the activities calendar to ensure a variety of events and activities are offered to residents

• Encourage resident participation in activities and assist with event setup and cleanup

• Follow the resident's plan of care regarding activities and ensure their engagement and well-being

• Complete room visits and 1:1 visits to promote socialization and interaction among residents

• Update the activity log for each resident daily to track their participation and progress

• Collaborate with the Activities Director to update activities based on resident preferences and feedback

Activities Assistant Requirements:

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license preferred

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Must be able to pass level 2 background check - fingerprinting with an Eligible status.
