Be among the first 25 applicants to apply for a position at Nursing and Rehabilitation at the Mansion in Sunbury, PA. We are seeking an Activities Assistant to join our skilled nursing facility. The Activities Assistant conducts activities for residents under the supervision of the Director of Activities. This is a PRN position, requiring flexibility for occasional evenings, every other weekend, and holiday work. The role has potential for part-time or full-time opportunities, starting at $12+/hour.

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure the emotional, recreational, and social needs of residents are met and maintained on an individual basis.
2. Assist residents with daily activities such as writing letters, making phone calls, and registering to vote.
3. Keep records of residents’ progress and activity attendance.
4. Help with mail delivery, escort residents to programs, care for plants and pets, prepare the monthly newsletter, participate in fundraising, and make morning announcements over the P.A. system.
5. Carry out activities that provide entertainment, communication, exercise, and creative expression.
6. Distribute craft supplies and supervise craft activities, encouraging residents to engage in creative tasks like crafts and painting.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or GED preferred.
2. Experience in long-term care or working with the elderly or disabled is desirable.
