You will plan, implement, and evaluate activities, encourage participation, and work with caregivers to align with individual care plans. A positive, team-oriented mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in activities programming for residents preferred.
• Ability to plan and lead social and recreational events.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and evaluate recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual programs.
• Encourage resident participation in activities and organize events.
• Meet residents individually and in groups; assist with crafts.
• Coordinate with supervisor and staff to support care plans.

The Activities Assistant participates in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual programs, in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan, and as may be directed by your supervisor. The Activities Assistant encourages residents to participate in recreational social activities and organizes games, crafts, religious services, parties, etc. for the residents. Activities may include movie nights, parties, outdoor events, shopping trips, and games. The Activities Assistant meets and visits with residents on an individual and group basis, and assists with crafts, and other projects, as necessary.
