Job summary

Villa Maria in Mulvane, KS is seeking a dedicated individual to support the Activity Director in creating a vibrant, home-like environment for residents. You will help plan and run daily activities and events that enrich daily life.

The role focuses on enhancing residents' quality of life through meaningful engagement, with duties including group activities, event support, and assisting residents to events. Prior senior care or event planning experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Prior senior care or event planning experience preferred.
  • CNA certification and valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead group and individual activities such as crafts, games, music, and exercise.
  • Visit residents’ rooms to invite them and assist them to events.
  • Prepare, arrange, and clean up event spaces and materials.
  • Track daily attendance and note resident participation or behavior changes.
  • Assist with transport and supervision during off-site trips.

Hours: 08:00am - 04:30pm with alternating Saturdays required

  • Documentation: Track daily attendance and note resident participation or behavior changes.
  • Community Outings: Assist with transport and supervision during off-site trips.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience: Prior senior care or event planning experience is preferred.
  • Certifications: CNA and valid driver's license required.
  • Soft Skills: High empathy, patience, positive energy, and strong communication skills.
