Job summary

Green Acres Nursing and Rehab in La Plata, Maryland is seeking an Activities Assistant to enhance residents' quality of life through engaging programs and thoughtful planning. You will organize diverse activities and tailor them to residents' interests, encouraging participation and social interaction.

About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Activities Assistant to join our team at Green Acres Nursing and Rehab.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement a variety of activities, including games, arts and crafts, fitness classes, and social events to promote socialization and engagement among residents
• Create and organize programs tailored to residents' interests and abilities
• Encourage resident participation and inclusion in all activities
• Develop and maintain relationships with residents, families, and staff to ensure a positive and supportive environment
• Collaborate with other departments, such as dietary and maintenance, to ensure a seamless experience for residents

Working Environment:

• Monday-Friday 9am-5pm with every third Sunday
