Job summary

Cedar Hill Nursing and Rehab Center in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an Activities Assistant to enhance residents' quality of life through planned activities. You will support daily calendars, encourage participation, and coordinate with the care team to tailor activities to each resident’s interests.

Responsibilities include 1:1 visits, updating logs, and collaborating with the Activities Director to align programs with resident goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to pass level 2 fingerprinting with an Eligible status.

Job Summary:

Cedar Hill Nursing and Rehab Center is seeking a caring and dedicated Activities Assistant to join our team. As an Activities Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by planning and implementing activities that promote their physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Follow daily activities calendars and updates to ensure a seamless experience for our residents

• Encourage resident participation in activities, including but not limited to:

  • Supporting life enrichment programs and events

  • Assisting with recreational activities, such as games, arts, and crafts

  • Organizing outings and trips

  • Facilitating social events and activities that promote socialization and connection

• Collaborate with the Activities Director to develop and implement activities that align with resident preferences and goals

• Complete room visits and 1:1 visits with residents to assess their interests and needs

• Update the activity log for each resident daily, ensuring accurate and detailed records

• Work closely with the healthcare team to ensure that activities are incorporated into each resident's plan of care

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
