Job summary

Castleton Health Care Center is hiring an Activities Assistant / Life Enrichment Aide to help create meaningful, engaging experiences for our residents. If you enjoy working with seniors and have experience in long-term care, recreation, or social services, this is a rewarding opportunity to make a real impact on daily life and well-being.

You’ll plan and lead activity programs, support events and family engagement, and work closely with nursing staff to meet resident needs and enhance quality

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year experience in long-term care, activities, or recreation preferred.
• Experience working with seniors strongly preferred.
• Energetic, compassionate, and patient personality.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily activity and recreation programs for residents.
• Lead and support group and 1:1 activities (arts & crafts, games, music, outings).
• Encourage participation and build relationships with residents.
• Help plan and post monthly activity calendars.
• Support community events and family engagement activities.
• Assist with Resident Council meetings and volunteer programs.
• Maintain activity supplies and track participation/documentation.
• Work closely with nursing staff to support resident needs.
