Overview

They assist in providing entertainment, communication, socialization, exercise, relaxation, and opportunities for creative and religious expression.

Compensation
  • Competitive Pay: $16.50 - $17.00/hr

Salary Disclosure: The mentioned salary reflects the base pay range. Bonuses and incentives are offered separately and will consider experience, qualifications, location, and certifications.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily activity programs to enhance residents’ quality of life through physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
  • Make daily announcements regarding activities, weather, birthdays, etc.
  • Support sensory needs of bedridden residents and LYFE participants.
  • Help plan the monthly activity calendar and suggest future ideas.
  • Communicate with the Activities Director about resident behavior and issues.
  • Work with and supervise volunteers during activities.
  • Document attendance and participation.
  • Participate in care planning and document inventory of supplies.
  • Assist with scheduled outings and community visits.
  • Represent the department in the absence of the Director.
  • Attend meetings and collaborate with staff on events.
  • Follow ethical standards and report hazards or equipment issues.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferably 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing facility.
  • Strong desire to work with elderly or disabled individuals.
  • Experience in arts/crafts or music is highly desirable.
  • Ability to handle emotional and behavioral challenges.
  • Patience and vivacity in interactions with residents.
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
