Join our Team! Leland Management is seeking an Activities Assistant for one of its communities in the Summerfield, FL area. The position is part-time with competitive pay and excellent benefits.

Summary: Assists Activities Director in promoting and executing resident programs and services, ensuring that recreational, social, cultural, and entertainment programs and services are conducted and fulfilled in a manner consistent with the goals and objectives of the Management and the Association.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Coordinates monthly Fountain collation and distribution.
  • Maintains the Fountain Newsletter subscriptions.
  • Answers day-to-day correspondence not requiring the direction of the Activities Director.
  • Processes and schedules room and pavilion rentals for private parties and paid seminars if needed.
  • Produces and distributes various daily, monthly, and quarterly reports in a timely manner.
  • Maintains the video library.
  • Maintains inventory of First Aid supplies.
  • Produces, maintains, and distributes annual resident directory.
  • Assists as need with registration and ticket sales for classes, activities, and events.
  • Sale of misc. Items (ex. ID Card Lanyards and clips, community maps etc.)
  • Creates and publishes weekly room schedules.
  • Maintains Club Records, Filing & Notices.
  • Maintains the Activities Sign-up Books.
  • Accomplishes special projects as assigned by the Activities Director.
  • Assist with facilities scheduling when needed.
  • Assist with events as needed.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to perform the essential duties of the position.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to operate efficiently and accurately a personal computer, copier and telephone system.
  • Must be able to handle professionally high amounts of confidential information. Understanding a generally accepted executive secretarial business practices and procedures.

Education: High School Graduate or its equivalency such as GED or on the job work experience.
