Job summary

Castle Peak, located in Eagle, CO, is seeking an Activities Assistant to join our weekend team. The role designs and implements activities for residents in our Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living facility, with a wage range of $18 to $24 per hour depending on experience.

The position is full-time with a varying schedule including every other weekend, at 195 Freestone Road 5980, Eagle, Colorado 81631. Our Life Enrichment team seeks a self-motivated, creative individual who cares for residents'

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in health/human services preferred.
• Prior experience in therapeutic activity department preferred.
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Desire to work with older adults in a long term care setting.
• Ability to manage diverse individuals and large projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor leisure activities for residents in both individual and group settings including community outings and outdoor activities.
• Encourage, support, and assist residents to help continue their individual interests and hobbies.
• Coordinate weekend, evening, and holiday events.
• Maintain an open working relationship with the resident's family/guardian.
• Observe and document activity attendance, mood, behavior, and degree of involvement.
• Transport residents to and from activities of their choosing.
• Coordinate meetings and record meeting minutes.
• Act as a positive representative of the facility at all times.
• Assist with recruiting and maintaining volunteer program for campus.
• Perform other related tasks as requested.
