Job summary

The Center at Eden Hill is seeking a compassionate Activities Assistant to enhance residents' quality of life by planning and delivering a diverse mix of social, physical, emotional, and spiritual activities. You will implement the monthly calendar, lead group sessions (crafts, music, games, and exercise), provide bedside visits, and assist the Activities Director with events, holidays, and outings.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required; geriatric experience is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Implement the monthly activities calendar and lead group sessions (crafts, music, games, and exercise).
• Provide one-on-one bedside visits and sensory stimulation for residents unable to attend group activities.
• Assist in planning special events, holidays, and outings.
• Encourage resident participation and engage socially isolated individuals.
• Document attendance and engagement levels in accordance with facility/state regulations.
• Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure activities align with care plans.
• Maintain and organize activity supplies and equipment.

Job Summary: The Center at Eden Hill is seeking a compassionate, energetic, and creative Activities Assistant to join our team. The primary goal of this role is to enhance the quality of life for our residents by planning and implementing a diverse range of social, physical, emotional, and spiritual activities. The Activities Assistant will work to ensure that every resident, regardless of their physical or cognitive abilities, has the opportunity to engage in meaningful experiences that promote wellness and joy.Key Responsibilities:Implement the monthly activities calendar, leading group sessions such as crafts, music, games, and exercise classes.Provide one-on-one bedside visits and sensory stimulation for residents who are unable to attend group functions.Assist the Activities Director in planning and coordinating special events, holidays, and outings.Encourage resident participation and motivate those who may be socially isolated.Accurately document resident attendance and engagement levels in compliance with facility and state regulations.Coordinate with other clinical staff to ensure activities are safe and tailored to the residents' care plans.Maintain and organize activity supplies and equipment.High school diploma or equivalent.Previous experience working with the geriatric population or in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) preferred.Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, empathetic, and positive demeanor.Ability to be creative and adaptable to the changing needs of residents.Strong communication skills and the ability to lead a group.Ability to lift and move equipment as needed.
