Job summary

Respiratory and Rehab of Rhode Island in Coventry, RI is seeking an Activities Assistant to create and coordinate daily events, from games to arts and crafts, fostering an engaging, safe experience for residents.

You will transport residents, document attendance, conduct one-on-one visits, and collaborate with staff and volunteers to ensure smooth events while upholding residents’ independence, choice, and dignity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required or equivalent.
• Experience with nursing, recreational activities, event planning, or related fields preferred.
• Job training and first aid/CPR training may be necessary.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Create and coordinate daily events such as games, arts, and crafts, and other recreational activities.
• Communicate with participants, employees, and volunteers to ensure a seamless experience.
• Manage logistics and operations to ensure the smooth execution of events.
• Transport residents to and from Activities and Meals.
• Complete documentation related to activities attendance.
• Complete one-on-one resident visits.
• Ensure resident safety at all times during activities.

About the Role:
