Job summary

TerraBella Senior Living is hiring an Activities Assistant/Driver for Homeplace of Burlington. You will lead engaging activities for Assisted Living and Memory Care residents and provide safe, reliable transport to events and appointments.

Applicants should have a high school diploma, be 21+, and possess strong customer service and safety awareness. This role offers growth within a warm senior living community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• CDL may be required with an acceptable driving record.
• Experience in customer service, preferably in a senior living setting.
• Knowledge of safety precautions and compliance with safety measures.
• Strong organization and time management; ability to handle multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality activities to AL and Memory Care residents.
• Support Activity Directors in scheduling and executing activities.
• Provide timely and courteous transportation for residents.
• Assist disabled passengers into and out of vehicle.
• Secure passengers' wheelchairs to restraints to stabilize during trips.
• Operate radio/cell/pager to communicate with base or other vehicles.
• Maintain community vehicles in good working condition.
• Clean and service vehicles with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.
• Assist with vehicle registration and license renewals.
• Inspect and document vehicle condition on a monthly and per-trip basis.

TerraBella Senior Living is looking for a Activities Assistant/Driver to join our community Homeplace of Burlington.

Responsibilities

• Help provide quality activities to both AL and Memory Care residents
• Support Activity Directors in scheduling and executing activities for our residents
• Responsible for providing timely and courteous transportation for the residents to and from various activities while providing quality service.
• Assists disabled passengers into and out of vehicle.
• Secures passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trip.
• Safely operates radio, cell phone or pager to communicate with base station or other vehicles to report disruption of service.
• Maintains all community vehicles in good working condition.
• Cleans and services vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.
• Assists with vehicle registration and license plates renewal process.
• Inspects and documents vehicle condition on a monthly and per trip basis.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Current commercial driver’s license (CDL) may be required with an acceptable driving record in accordance with Federal Department of Transportation regulations.
• Experience in customer service environment, preferably in a senior living setting.
• Must be knowledgeable of all safety precautions and comply with safety measures.
• Competent in organization, time management skills and handling multiple priorities.
