Job summary

Arcadia Family of Companies is seeking an Activities Aide for 15 Craigside in Honolulu, Hawaii. This part-time role supports planning and delivering an engaging activity program for residents, with shifts Monday through Wednesday and Friday, 10:30am–6:30pm, totaling 20–29 hours weekly.

Salary is $18.90 to $23.96 per hour, with benefits including healthcare, retirement plan, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in using a computer including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) and other applicable software applications.
• One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs essential duties in accordance with Arcadia Family of Companies’ mission, vision, values and guideposts.
• Facilitates scheduled group activities as developed by the Activities Supervisor.
• Participates in evaluating, improving and creating activities to ensure residents’ psychosocial well-being is maintained.
• Facilitates activities so all residents can participate based on their capabilities, needs and interests.
• Evaluates and records residents’ participation in activity programs.

What You’ll Do

Contribute to the planning, organization, and facilitation of an engaging activity program at our Health Care Center.

Location - 15 Craigside (Nu'uanu)

The following shift is available:

• Part Time B (Work 20 to 29 Hours): Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday: 10:30am - 6:30pm and Friday: 1:30pm - 6:30pm

Pay Range

• $18.90 to $23.96 Hourly

Responsibilities

• Performs essential dutiesin accordance withArcadia Family of Company’s mission, vision,valuesand guideposts.
• Facilitates scheduled group activities as developed by the Activities Supervisor.
• Participates in evaluating, improving and creating activities to ensure that each resident’s psychosocial well-being is maintained and spiritual, physical, intellectual, social and emotional needs are met.
• Facilitates activities in a manner that allows all residents toparticipatebased on their capabilities, needs and interests.
• Evaluates and records residents’ participation in activity programs.
• Conducts individualized and meaningful 1:1 visits in accordance with each resident’s care plan and documents the content of the visits.
• Encourages andassistsresidents with participation in leisure activities of choice.
• Observes and communicates to appropriate staff changes in residents’ mood, behaviors and needs.
• Respects,observesand follows residents’ rights and privacy, and ensures residents’ dignity.
• Assistswith planning, coordinating and accompanying residents on outings as scheduled.
• Keeps all work and storage areas clean,tidyand organized on an ongoing basis.
• Performs the necessary duties for emergency drills and situations such as fire, fire alarms, hurricanes, and otherpossible emergenciesas outlined in the Disaster Response Playbook.
• Ensures departmental compliance with corporate, state, and federal safety guidelines.
