Job summary

Roscoe Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Roscoe, NY is seeking an Activities Aid to help create engaging experiences for residents through activities, events, and daily social interaction.

You will join a team dedicated to compassionate, resident-centered care in a welcoming environment. This full-time role offers regular hours, opportunities to build meaningful relationships, and a chance to contribute to residents' well-being.

Qualifications

• Experience in activities, recreation, senior care, or customer service is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families and staff.
• Comfortable working as part of a team and independently when needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and leading recreational activities, games, events and outings.
• Encourage resident participation in group and individual activities.
• Escort residents to and from activities as needed.
• Document resident participation and responses to activities.
• Help with decorating, event setup and themed activities.
• Communicate resident preferences and needs with staff and families.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.

Activities Aide
Rate: $16.50/hour
Shift: Full-Time
Schedule: 9 am-5 pm with rotating 12 pm-8 pm, every other weekend

In this role, you’ll help create engaging and meaningful experiences for residents through activities, events, and daily social interaction. RESPONSIBILITIES:

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience in activities, recreation, senior care, or customer service preferred
• Friendly, patient, and positive attitude
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to assist with resident mobility, including pushing wheelchairs
