Job summary

Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Polson, MT is seeking an Activities Aide for the Assisted Living residence. This per diem, 6 hours per week position requires weekend work and flexibility to assist as needed.

You will design and lead activities that support residents’ emotional, physical, mental and spiritual well‑being, in collaboration with the care team, while maintaining a warm, respectful environment.

Qualifications

• National Provider BLS – American Heart Association upon hire.
• 6 months working in a health care facility.
• 1 year experience as a certified nurse assistant.

Job description

Activities Aide - Assisted Living at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center

Schedule: Per Diem, Variable Shift, 6 hours per week (working weekends and assist otherwise as needed)

The Activity Aide makes decisions and works under the direction of and in coordination with the Senior Activities Aide and a staff team member to provide activities that meet the needs of the residents and staff emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually. The Activity Aide creates a friendly and cooperative atmosphere for residents, visitors and PSJAL personnel and must maintain poise in stressful situations while continually exhibiting outstanding public relations skills. Requires some weekend and evening time.

Qualifications

• Required Qualifications: National Provider BLS – American Heart Association upon hire
• Preferred Qualifications: 6 months working in a health care facility
• Preferred Qualifications: 1 year experience as a certified nurse assistant

Pay Range: $16.50 - $19.82 per hour
