Job summary

Linda Manor Assisted Living in Northampton, MA is seeking an activity assistant to plan, implement, and evaluate recreational and social programs for residents. The role emphasizes promoting engagement, mobility, and well-being through a variety of activities in a healthcare setting.

You will coordinate with other staff, transport residents to events, and maintain records while delivering compassionate, person-centered care to an aging population.

Qualifications

Summary: The primary purpose of this position is to assist in planning, implementation, and evaluation of recreational, social, intellectual, emotional and spiritual programs, in accordance with resident’s care plan. This position operates in a healthcare setting. This role also routinely comes into contact with residents who have contagious diseases.

• Participate in discharge planning, development, and implementation of activity care plans and resident assessments.
• Interview residents or family members to obtain activity information.
• Assist in arranging for transportation for outings.
• Coordinate activities with other departments and staff.
• Assist with implementing and maintaining an ongoing quality assurance program for the activity department.
• Perform administrative duties, i.e.. completing necessary forms, reports, etc.

Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Previous experience working with the elderly population preferred
