Avesta Housing’s Inn at Village Square in Gorham, ME seeks an Activities Aide to support resident engagement and well-being in our on-site assisted living community. You will plan and facilitate recreational, social, and enrichment activities tailored to residents’ interests, abilities, and goals.

This part-time, non-exempt role requires strong interpersonal skills, two years’ experience in long-term care, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in a long‑term care or assisted living facility.
• Experience using computers and Microsoft Office products.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent customer service, written communication, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in English.

Salary Information

Education

Experience

• Minimum of two years of experience in a long‑term care or assisted living facility preferred.
• Experience using computers and Microsoft Office products.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt activities and services to residents’ individual needs.
• Excellent customer service, written communication, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Enthusiastic, energetic, and able to relate effectively to a variety of people and personalities.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a safe driving record; ability to safely operate a minivan and small bus seating 8-14 passengers.
• Able to fluently communicate in English.
• Willingness to undergo a criminal background check.

Certifications (preferred or required)

• Activity Coordinator Certification preferred.
• Personal Support Specialist (PSS), Residential Care Specialist I (RCS I), or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential preferred.
• Certified Residential Medication Aide (CRMA) credential preferred.

This is a non‑exempt, part‑time position that will work evenings and weekends. This position is fully on‑site at our assisted living facility in Gorham, Maine.

This is a non‑exempt/hourly position that pays $17-20 per hour.
