Simpson Thacher & Bartlett seeks an Analyst in its M&A group to support partners on shareholder activism, corporate governance, and contested transactions. You will prepare materials, perform analyses, and advise on investment and market considerations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, 1-2 years of relevant experience, and Bloomberg proficiency. You will collaborate with partners and managers to develop insights and maintain rigorous client deliverables in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Preferred: Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• At least 1–2 years of experience.
• Strong analytical, research, writing, and presentation skills.
• Experience in investment banking, shareholder advisory, governance, legal, consulting, or related fields preferred.
• Proficiency with Bloomberg.

Responsabilités

• Create, maintain and review complex materials and analyses relating to shareholder activism, corporate governance and trading activity.
• Provide strategic input to issuers on contested M&A situations, capital market considerations and investor relations.
• Prepare corporate clients for potential activist shareholder engagement through corporate preparedness assignments.
• Develop proprietary knowledge and insights into trading activity and capital markets monitoring for clients.
• Monitor and stay abreast of relevant trends and regulatory developments.
• Work closely with the group partners to establish ongoing processes and procedures.
