Job description

Activewear Sourcing Manager, Central America

United States, Remote

OUR STORY

Quince was started to challenge the existing idea that nice things should cost a lot. Our mission was simple: create an item of equal or greater quality than the leading luxury brands and sell them at a much lower price.

OUR VALUES

Customer First. Customer satisfaction is our highest priority.

High Quality. True quality is a combination of premium materials and high production standards that everyone can feel good about.

Essential design. We don’t chase trends, and we don’t sell everything. We’re expert curators that find the very best and bring it to you at the lowest prices.

Always a better deal. Through innovation and real price transparency we want to offer the best deal to both our customers and our factory partners.

Environmentally and Socially conscious. We’re committed to sustainable materials and sustainable production methods. That means a cleaner environment and fair wages for factory workers.

OUR TEAM AND SUCCESS

Quince is a retail and technology company co-founded by a team that has extensive experience in retail, technology and building early stage companies. You’ll work with a team of world-class talent from Stanford GSB, Google, D.E. Shaw, Stitch Fix, Urban Outfitters, Wayfair, McKinsey, Nike etc.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

The ideal candidate is a self-starter, problem-solver and successful in combining technology and data into best-in-class outcomes. The candidate is energized by solving complex business problems and consistently effective in making high-judgment decisions at rapid pace amidst the frequent ambiguity that comes with charting a course of action with no precedent. Moreover, the ideal candidate is energized by an environment where strategy, innovation and decision-making are intentionally distributed, where candor, speed and data are highly valued and colleagues at all levels hold each other to unusually high standards on behalf of Quince customers.

The Sourcing Manager, Central America will focus on sourcing knit activewear in Guatemala &/or El Salvador, with an emphasis on optimizing Quince’s supply chain through nearshoring strategies. This role is critical in re-sourcing existing products that currently have long lead times and high logistics costs, while also identifying and launching new activewear products from the region to drive business growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Scouting and vetting potential suppliers in Guatemala &/or El Salvador.
  • Pitching Quince’s business model to key manufacturing partners.
  • Conducting cost analyses for core products to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Onboarding and integrating suppliers into Quince’s fast-paced supply chain.
  • Ensuring long-term supplier success, conducting periodic business reviews, and driving operational efficiencies.
  • Develop and execute a category supply chain strategy, including multi-sourcing for the knits apparel segment.
  • Identify, vet, and onboard supplier partners, coaching them to operate within Quince’s rapid replenishment, M2C (Made-to-Consumer) model.
  • Train suppliers on Quince OS, including operational efficiency (rapid lead times, consumer focus), financial modeling (high ROIC), and technical capabilities (Vendor Portal).
  • Catalog Expansion: Collaborate with Merchants and Product Development teams to introduce new styles and colors approved through our NPC process.
  • Drive Operational Excellence: Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews with supplier management, analyzing strategy, performance highlights, and areas for improvement.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 8+ years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, or Supplier Management with major U.S.-based retailers.
  • Established factory partnerships within knits apparel across the Americas (Mexico, Central America, South America) and Asia (including India, South Asia, Southeast Asia, and China, where relevant).
  • Passion for product development with a track record of leveraging vendor expertise to design, cost-engineer, and bring products to market.
  • Strong general management (GM) mindset, with experience in lean manufacturing, just-in-time (JIT) processes, and supply chain optimization.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and analytical, with a strong focus on execution, problem-solving, and process improvement.
  • Natural connector who builds and maintains strong relationships between internal teams and supplier partners to drive collaboration and shared success.
  • Proactive and assertive, with the ability to self-manage in a remote/home-office setting while staying closely connected to the broader organization.
  • Excellent communicator, with strong written, verbal, and presentation skills to influence and align stakeholders.
