Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of active transportation planning, multimodal transportation systems, and complete streets.
• Experience evaluating pedestrian and bicycle facilities, transportation data, and safety improvements.
• Ability to lead complex planning studies and build consensus among agencies, officials, and stakeholders.
• Analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills communicating technical information.
• Experience developing technical reports, planning documents, and policy recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support implementation of OCTA's Active Transportation Plan and multimodal initiatives.
• Serve as technical lead and liaison for active transportation planning with agencies and partners.
• Conduct and oversee active transportation studies, corridor planning, and reviews.
• Evaluate facilities, data, safety trends, and land use to identify mobility improvements.
• Develop reports, presentations, maps, and graphics communicating findings and solutions.
• Review studies and legislation to ensure multimodal considerations are incorporated.
• Coordinate funding activities and engage partners on pedestrian/bicycle projects.
• Lead stakeholder meetings and public outreach to build consensus.
• Represent OCTA on regional/state committees and working groups.
