Job summary

Clear Street is modernizing the brokerage ecosystem. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Clear Street Frontend team, you’ll help architect and build the next generation of Clear Street Active, our high-performance trading platform tailored for active traders.

The platform integrates real-time market data, low-latency execution workflows, and advanced trading tools into a performant, responsive web interface.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of professional web app development experience.
• 3+ years with modern web technologies at Senior or higher level.
• Experience building high-performance, scalable web apps with TS/React/Tanstack/Tailwind.
• Focus on end-user experience in API design, functionality and performance.
• Strong understanding of design patterns, data structures and algorithms.
• Team-first mindset and pride in code quality and maintainability.
• Passion for developer experience and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build the next generation of the Clear Street Frontend platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact web features.
• Ensure high performance, low latency, and robust UI for trading tools.
• Maintain and improve code quality, tests, and documentation.
• Contribute to developer experience with clean APIs and tooling.
