Katiesnj in North Brunswick, NJ is seeking a friendly Part-time Retail Associate to assist customers with purchases, answer questions, and help maintain animal care areas.

You will handle the cash register, restock shelves, assist with deliveries, and keep the store clean. Weekend availability and comfortable handling animals are required.

Qualifications

• Comfort handling animals (cats, rodents, crickets, rabbits, guinea pigs).

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with advice, product handling, problem resolution and answering questions.
• Check customers out at the cash register.
• Assist customers with problems or returns.
• Help merchandise incoming deliveries and maintain inventory on shelves.
• Care for store animals: feeding, water, habitat cleaning and socialization.
• Assist in store maintenance: floor care, cleaning counters, disinfecting, and light cleaning.
• Assist customers in taking purchases to their vehicles.

Assist customers with purchasing decisions and assist management with merchandising, animal care and maintenance functionsIt is the primary point of contact for customers and plays a significant role in store operations

Responsibilities

• Assisting customers with advice, product handling , problem resolution and answering questions
• Checking customers out at the cash register
• Being the first step in assisting customers with problems or returns
• Helping merchandise incoming deliveries and maintaining the inventory on the shelves
• Caring for store animals, including feeding, water, habitat cleaning and socialization
• Assisting in the maintenance of the store, including: floor care (wet and dry mopping), maintaining clean counters , disinfecting, and other light cleaning functions
• Assisting customers in taking purchases to their vehicles

Requirements

• Have some knowledge of domestic animals and be comfortable handling animals including: cats, rodents crickets, rabbits and guinea pigs
