The Waters in Minneapolis is seeking an Activities Coordinator to lead engaging, person-centered activities for residents in the Petals Memory Care program. You will plan and implement exercise, arts, social events, and off-site activities to support joy and life fulfillment.

Ideal applicants have a love for seniors and a warm, engaging demeanor, with experience in memory care or related fields and the ability to work flexible hours including weekends.

The Activities Coordinator, also titled The Active Life Coordinator, is a valuable member of our Petals Memory Care Program which provides our residents with supportive and person-centered social connections to inspire joy, meaningful interactions, and life fulfillment. Some of the elements of our Petals Program include Physical Wellbeing, Creative Arts, Social Connections, Waters Academy, Integrated & Spiritual Therapies and Music & Arts Enrichment.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Play a meaningful role in developing and executing activities which help our residents thrive. Some examples of activities include exercise classes, creative arts, culinary creations, social interactions, personal engagements, off-site excursions, etc.
• Assist residents with activities of their choice which may include group activities and/or personal engagements

Qualifications/Skills/Abilities

• A love of seniors and passion for enhancing lives through meaningful interactions
• Demonstrated enthusiasm and positive rapport with residents, team members, and families
• Previous experience working with seniors and/or experience in memory care, recreational therapy, education, hospitality, or related areas preferred
• The ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include evenings and weekends, as appropriate
