Job summary

Peraton is seeking an Active Directory Administrator to manage AD, PKI, and related Windows infrastructure, focusing on security hardening and high-level support across production environments.

The role covers the full lifecycle from design to deployment, including STIG checks, DNS/DC management, backups, and cross-team collaboration. DoD Secret Clearance is required; Fort Huachuca locality preferred.

Qualifications

• 2 years with BS/BA; 0 years with MS/MA; 6 years with no degree OR 4 years w/an Associates
• Active DoD Secret Clearance

Responsibilities

• Schedule, perform, and monitor system backups and perform data recoveries when necessary.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex software, operating system, and networking problems.
• Recommend and perform hardware and software upgrades based on growth statistics and forecasts, including transitioning from test to production.
• Configure hardware such as workstations, printers, servers, and tape devices.
• Schedule tasks using support tools and scripts and provide technical support for system users.
• Manage the Active Directory forest schema, extensions for applications and third-party tools.
• Establish AD Sites, Site Links, and subnet addressing; configure replication intervals and scheduling.
• Build, install, configure, and maintain Domain Controllers and DNS within Active Directory.
• Implement security hardening via patching, group policies, registry edits, and scripted actions.
• Conduct STIG checks for Windows Server OS, DNS, DCs, and AD Domain/Forest.
• Delegate administrative privileges for management of tools, applications, and domain-level operations.
• Plan, design, develop, evaluate, test, and integrate Directory Services infrastructure and PKI implementation.
• Capture, translate, and document customer requirements to define system specs.
• Create and maintain comprehensive programmatic and technical documentation for planning and execution.
• Manage and document system configurations and oversee transitions to production.
• Provide high-level technical support for lower-level administrators and post-project end-user support.
