Hy-Vee, Inc. is seeking a Courtesy Clerk in California to support customers across the store, keep shelves stocked, and maintain a clean, organized shopping environment.

This hourly role involves assisting with bagging, transporting purchases, and helping in other departments as needed while upholding Hy-Vee policies. The position requires friendly customer service, ability to stand and walk during shifts, and flexibility for night and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Follow detailed written or verbal instructions.
• Perform basic addition/subtraction, copy figures, and record accurately.
• Communicate clearly and follow directions.
• Work well as part of a team to keep the store clean and welcoming.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service at the register and floor.
• Package purchases and assist customers with transport to their vehicle.
• Retrieve carts and manage cart corrals during shifts.
• Clean registers, restrooms, break room, backroom; sweep and mop floors as needed.
• Stock, rotate, and face merchandise; understand shelf tags and locations.
• Assist in training new courtesy clerks and deliver products to customers.
