Activations Ambassador

Job Location: The Twin Fin, Honolulu, HI

Compensation: USD $21.40 per hour (Hourly)

Overview

The Activation/Recreations Ambassador is a multifaceted position responsible for various duties throughout the property. Working directly with the Venue Manager, the Ambassador assists during special events/functions at the pool and other hotel venues, ensuring the pool area stays clean and furniture properly set up, supporting the Coconut Club during breakfast and other special events, and providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to guests. The role aims to resolve guest requests, maximize revenue, and maintain high occupancy levels.

Responsibilities

• Employee must be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and fellow employees.
• Greet and welcome all guests and members.
• Hand guests new pool towels and accept/gather used towels from guests.
• Be proficient in the sales of cabanas/day beds to guests.
• Take personal care of guests in cabanas/day beds according to SOP.
• Assist the sales effort by providing information and communicating potential guest/member needs to Activation Manager.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• Assist during various hotel functions including opening, closing, and side work.
• Ensure vendors at pool area have the utilities they need for their function.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the pool areas and cabanas, furniture, and service areas of the pools in an organized manner.
• Assist with any cultural activities.
• Help with any setup for special events, live music, and evening activities.
• Act as point of contact for any on-sight vendors.
• Meet with client/vendor upon arrival to review set-up for accuracy.
• Be familiar with event types & setup.
• Reset / Set up pool furniture based on hotel standards.
• Monitor weather advisory and work with leadership team in proper care of pool furniture.
• Sweep/extract excessive water puddles around the pool areas.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years retail/hospitality experience preferred
• Must be proficient with computers and POS systems.

Physical requirements:

• Flexible and long hours sometimes required including weekends and evenings.
• Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 30 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
• This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending and kneeling for entire shift.
