Marshall University’s School of Theatre and Dance invites applications for a term (3-year) position at the rank of assistant professor, to begin in August 2024. This is an Acting/Movement position with a full-time, nine-month appointment and potential for two additional terms.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience as an acting teacher with movement-based methods.
• Experience in directing theatre productions and working with youth audiences is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Teach a 4/4 workload of undergraduate courses across acting and movement-based acting.
• Direct two departmental productions annually and oversee Theatre ETC!, the theatre for young audiences program.
• Participate in governance, advise students, and contribute to outreach and general education.
