Job summary

Daymark Recovery Services in Boone, NC is seeking a registered nurse to provide psychosocial evaluation, diagnostic and counseling services in a clinical setting, coordinating with an interdisciplinary team to deliver intensive services to individuals with severe mental illness.

The role emphasizes clinical assessment, crisis intervention, and case management, requiring the ability to work independently and as part of the ACT team.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a four-year state accredited nursing program and one year of psychiatric nursing experience.
• Experience in psychosocial evaluation/assessment and counseling within a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides medication evaluation, medication checks, calls in prescriptions, may provide individual or family therapy to persons served.
• Participates in daily interdisciplinary treatment planning, daily staff meetings and review of persons served and medical needs.
• Provides crisis intervention consultation with the team; may provide on call coverage.
• Provides ongoing assertive outreach, therapeutic interventions and supportive services to address needs and functioning.
• Completes all documentation as required by procedures and statute.
• Participates in regular supervision with the ACT Team Leader and/or psychiatrist.
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
