Qualifications

  • Assessment, crisis management and stabilization competency for adults with mental illness and substance use disorders.
  • Master's degree in social work or related field required; licensure or certification in MI preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years working with severely and persistently mentally ill individuals; supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily team meetings, assign referrals, review crises, and coordinate follow-up care across disciplines.
  • Provide direct services (therapy, case management, crisis intervention) and ensure documentation, medication protocols, and treatment plans are carried out with fidelity.
  • Supervise and support team members; assist scheduling to meet consumer needs; consult on clinical issues; review service utilization data.
  • Prepare for MiFAST reviews and IPOS, coordinate with partners to ensure continuity of care and ACT fidelity.

Lenawee Community Mental Health Authority (LCMHA), in Adrian, Michigan has an exciting opportunity for a ACT Supervisor [Clinical Program Supervisor - Assertive Community Treatment]. If you are an experienced, compassionate, organized, behavioral health professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment; and is committed to the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care for adults with severe and persistent mental illness in Lenawee County.

The starting annual salary is $79,989. The annualized salary range for this position is $79,989 to $103,389 per year (based on a 37-1/2 hour work week); the range is based on the number of years of service with the agency.

LCMHA is also a participating / qualifying site for several student debt relief options including the HRSA Loan Repayment Program & MDHHS Behavioral Health Loan Repayment Program (Please note that employee eligibility is determined by these programs, and not by LCMHA).

A Day In The Life Of An (ACT Supervisor)

This opportunity is fully on site, at LCMHA's Main Office at the Human Services Building in Adrian, MI. As an ACT Supervisor, each day offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact while supporting a small caseload and guiding a multidisciplinary team. Your morning may start by leading the team's daily meeting, assigning new referrals, reviewing crisis situations, and ensuring follow-up care is coordinated across disciplines. You'll provide direct services to consumers – such as therapy, case management, or crisis intervention – while also ensuring that documentation, medication protocols, and treatment plans are carried out with accuracy and integrity. Throughout the day, you'll supervise and support team members, assist in scheduling to meet consumer's needs, consult on clinical issues, and review service utilization data to keep the program on track. Whether preparing for a MiFAST review, reviewing individualized plan of service (IPOS), or working with community partners to ensure continuity of care, your leadership helps ensure fidelity to the ACT model will promoting ethical, high-quality services for the people we serve!

Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in social work or human services field;
  • Licensed or certified by the State of Michigan in Social Work, Psychology or other related Behavioral Health field;
  • At least three (3) years of experience in working with the severely and persistently mentally ill population;
  • One year of previous supervisory experience desired;
  • Have education and demonstrated competency in assessment, crisis management and stabilization and therapeutic care for mentally impaired adults & individuals who have substance use disorders;
  • Possess a valid U.S. driver's license;
  • Must complete ACT 101 Training within 6 months of hire.

The Benefits Package Includes
  • Employees receive a generous paid leave benefit, and paid leave begins to accrue on an employee's first day of employment; an employee would receive about 24-1/2 paid days off in the first year. The number of paid leave hours an employee accrues is based on length of service; the paid leave time accruing increases after one year, five years, and ten years of employment.

  • Employees who decline to enroll in the agency's medical insurance program because they have medical insurance coverage from a different source receive a medical insurance opt-out payment (this benefit starts as of the first day of employment).
  • Retirement Benefits: this benefit starts as of the first day of employment.
  • Long-Term Disability and Life Insurance (at no cost): the agency covers 100% of the cost; benefits start as of the 91st day of employment.
