Responsibilities

  • Maintains awareness of each client’s medication adherence plan and provides services to assist client in carrying out the plan; evaluates adequacy of plan and suggests modifications as needed.
  • Provide collaboration and education to significant others and family members who are interested in assisting the client in recovery.
  • Advocate on behalf of clients to protect rights and privacy; ensure clients understand complaint and grievance procedures.
  • Treat all clients with dignity and respect, considering age, gender, and culture.
  • Educate and support clients and families on signs, symptoms, and resources for dual diagnoses.
  • Coordinate with outside inpatient services to detoxify clients and link to outpatient treatment and residential facilities.
  • Meet shift leader expectations and responsibilities as outlined by the Team Leader & Clinical Supervisor.
  • Provide chemical health assessments and referrals for persons with severe mental illness as part of the ACT team.

Salary Range: $59,656.00 - $67,456.00 annually

The ACT Co-Occurring Recovery Specialist is responsible for carrying out rehabilitation and support functions and assists in treatment; substance abuse services; education, support, and consultation to families; and crisis intervention in consultation with the multi-disciplinary team. This position will take a lead role in the provision of rehabilitation services for clients with dual diagnoses.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • One year of experience in substance abuse treatment or combination of equivalent experience and training.
  • Ability to transport clients and perform outreach in the community.
  • Ability to be flexible in prioritizing in a changing system.
  • Ability to work on-call, evenings and weekends as scheduled.
