Job summary

Danville-Pittsylvania Community Services seeks a qualified mental health professional to assess, develop, coordinate, and provide treatment, rehabilitation, and support services to individuals with serious mental illness under clinical supervision.

The role may function as the lead mental health professional when designated, with responsibilities including weekly medication bag fills, home medication deliveries, and participation in on-call rotations. Excellent fringe benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work with coursework for Virginia licensure.
• At least 1 year of experience with individuals diagnosed with serious mental illness in the past five years.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• Must have, or be eligible to obtain, certification as a pre-screener for emergency hospitalization in Virginia within six months of hire.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assesses plans, develops, coordinates, and provides treatment, rehabilitation, and support services to program individuals with severe and persistent mental illnesses under the clinical supervision of the team leader and psychiatrist. Functions as a clinical member of the multidisciplinary team and provides treatment, rehabilitation, and support services, or may be designated by the team leader to function as the lead mental health professional. Assists individuals with weekly medication bag/box fills; delivers medications to the homes of individuals per morning/evening medication runs on a rotating basis; participates in on-call rotation.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Requirements

• M1: Masters degree in Human Services, Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work that includes coursework for licensure by the Virginia Department of Health Professions as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner in Virginia
• M2: At least one year experience within the past five years providing services to individuals diagnosed with serious mental illness
• M3: Valid drivers license and safe driving record
• M4: Must have, or be eligible to obtain, certification as a pre-screener for emergency hospitalization in Virginia within six months of hire

Fingerprints, State and FBI criminal record reports, drug test, and central registry (CANIS) report will be required upon request. Our Agency maintains a drug-free workplace.

ANNUAL SALARY RANGE

$51,233 - $88,832

• $8,000 Sign on Bonus
• 20% Increase for Licensure
• 10% Increase for Resident/Supervisee
