Job summary

The Pennsylvania State University Police and Public Safety Department is seeking Act 120 certified police officers to join our team, serving campuses statewide with integrity, respect, and community focus.

Officers will patrol, investigate, enforce laws and university policies, and engage with students, staff, and visitors to maintain safety. A high school diploma and MPOETC Act 120 certification are required, with background checks and driving record review.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Act 120 Certification required; current or in process.
• Knowledge of IT, software, surveillance equipment and social media used in investigations.

Responsibilities

• Patrol duties to protect life and property and maintain order.
• Enforce laws, university policies, and conduct investigations as needed.
• Provide education and engage with the community to enhance safety.
• Prepare testimony and present findings in court as required.
